The Mare di Libri Award

There are infinite literary awards out there…did we really need another one?

We believe we did because there was no award that actively engaged teenage readers by giving them the task to decide the best YA book of the year.
The Mare di Libri Award was born not only to give the umpteenth plaque, but to enable interaction among writers, editors and readers. In fact, here readers get to choose the winner. Teenagers are the true protagonists of the award, as with every other activity run by Mare di Libri.

This year, our Award will hold its 8th edition during the 14th edition of the Festival and 10 young readers (14 to 16) from all Italy will choose the best YA novel published in 2020.
The 5 finalists, previously selected by an adult jury, for the Mare di Libri Award are:
